Few things make me happier than a proposal and engagement pictures. I got to capture my sister’s now-fiance, Matt, proposing earlier this spring. We took a day trip to St. Joseph, Michigan. St. Joe is just about 2 hours from Chicago and features an adorable downtown and two clean, expansive beaches leading you to the picturesque Lake Michigan.

Stephanie and Matt are true naturals in front of the camera. They got an immersive experience where photoshoot meets date: they enjoyed exploring the foot of the North Pier Outer Lighthouse, dancing in the dunes, running along the beach, and wading into the clear waters of Pure Michigan. This afternoon was uniquely beautiful not only because of the scenic setting, but because of the love and memories captured.
